ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

Whether your son or daughter lives for tennis, or is picking up a racquet for the first time, we can help them develop their interest, skills – and a true love of the game.

This revolutionary program uses USTA-approved foam balls, mini-nets and age level-appropriate drills. Fun and friendly one-hour sessions offer skill-building activities to develop early muscle memory. You can expect your child to realize significant improvement in eye-hand coordination, footwork proficiency and basic stroke movements.Our comprehensive program teaches tennis in an exciting, progressive and structured setting. Programs are tailored to each student’s level and goal. About Director Salif

Salifu Mohammed ("Salif”) is not your standard, everyday coach who has simply made it his/her “business” to coach tennis. Salif is an exceptional player-coach who has played the game at the highest levels, and has made it his life’s goal to impart real world tennis experience to his students.

Trained by Nick Bollettieri at the Nick Bollettieri’s academy from 2002-2005, Salif was a standout. By the age of sixteen, Salifu began playing ITF events and achieved a high ranking of #69 in the world in junior tennis. After the juniors, he won many Satellite tournaments and on the ATP tour, reached as high as #500 in the world. Salifu has played in the junior US Open, French Open, Wimbledon and Australian Open tournaments. In addition, Salifu is a native son of Ghana, Africa where the Ghana Tennis Association recognized his talent and chose Salif to play Davis Cup for Ghana in 2010.

Over the last eight years based in the Westchester area of New York, Salif has focused his efforts primarily on high performance junior players and adults. Past teaching positions include: High Performance Director, Gotham Tennis Academy, Bronx, NY, Master Pro at Randall’s Island Sportime, NY, Master Pro/Quickstart Director at Harbour Island Sportime, Mamaroneck, NY, Master Pro for Adults with Tennis Innovators.

Currently, as Managing Director of Prowess  Tennis LLC operating at New York Tennis Club Indoors/Outdoor, Salif continues to train High Performance Junior players, Quick Start, Junior Development, Beginners, Private Lessons, and Adults clinics. In addition, Salif became the head coach for Columbia Prep School Varsity Tennis Team in 2016, where he lead the team to a spectacular victory, winning the all League Championships, 2016 NYCAL Tennis Regular season Team Champions, 2016 NYCAL Tennis Tournament Team Champions and the ACIS Varsity Tennis Playoff Champions.
